How Many Questions Are Asked in IIT JAM?

If you are a first-time test taker, IIT JAM must be like a puzzle to you which keeps jumbling your mind.

Yes, I have gone through it! I know how you want to know everything about the exam and the number of questions asked in exam is very important aspect.

I won’t create much suspense and tell you loud and clear that there are total 60 questions in JAM paper.

The total marks these question carries are 100. The questions can be divided into three types

1. 30 Simple objective type question or MCQ 
2.  10 Objective multiple selection questions MSQ
3. 20 Numerical Questions.

There is negative marking of 1/3 marks for MCQ. For Numerical and MSQs, there is no negative marking.
